DBasia.news – AC Milan has again been linked with the transfer issue of Domenico Berardi, but the profile of the Sassuolo winger doesn’t seem too convincing to management.
Tuttosport briefly highlighted how Stefano Pioli wanted players to strengthen the Rossoneri’s right flank and Berardi is a figure that is being targeted by management.
The outlet added how Milan can take advantage of two things that can give them an advantage, namely the Champions League which will certainly attract the attention of the player and a budget that can be used to meet the official price of €30-35 million or Rp 480-560 billion.
The 27-year-old winger’s form with Sassuolo in Serie A shows he will be of great help to the Rossoneri considering he has scored in double figures for five consecutive seasons and scored 10 goals in 16 meetings with them during his time with the Emilia club.
Alexis Saelemaekers and Junior Messias don’t seem to have come close to that level in terms of attacking threat and finishing so no doubt on paper he will provide a surge in quality in Il Diavolo’s squad. He has even scored 14 goals this season, while the Belgium international and Brazil winger have scored just 7 goals in total.
However, according to SemperMilan, the Rossoneri have never taken serious steps to sign the Italian international player and this summer will likely be the same if the situation does not change. The reason is the value for money factor considering the star is currently in his comfort zone with the Neroverdi and when he plays at a higher level, like when he was with the national team, he doesn’t shine as much.
When the pressure builds, he tends to struggle, and while it is wise enough to give opportunities to interesting players from a technical-tactical point of view like Berardi, Sassuolo’s value, which is likely to be high, would most likely make Milan look at other profiles.
