Milan’s Player Got A Heart Problem

DBasia.news – AC Milan predicted won’t put Ivan Strinic in the near future. Based on the information of cardiologist Bruno Caru, the Croatian player will be absent for four months.

Talking to Tuttosport, Bruno revealed Strinic had a rare heart problem called hypertrophy.

“To understand what kind of hypertrophy he has, Strinic needs to rest for at least 3-4 months. A shorter period would make no sense unless the player undergoes more detailed, specialized checks to ensure that his diagnosis isn’t worse,” Bruno said.

“There are two possibilities. The more serious one would be a hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. It’s a congenital issue present from birth and which can develop in adulthood. It’s what Domenico Fioravanti – an Olympic swimming champion has,”

“The less serious case would be a physiological hypertrophy. It’s something that can occur to subjects who do a lot of physical exercises. In that case, an extended period of rest would make the left ventricle shrink back to its original size. The player would be able to return to playing football.”

AC Milan recruited Ivan Strinic from Samprodir freely. The 31-year-old player signed the contract until June 2021. Last season, Strinic played in 18 matches and scored 2 assists.

AC Milan haven’t conducted the first Serie A match against Genoa due to the collapsed bridge tragedy. Il Diavolo Rosso will meet Napoli at Stadio San Paolo on Sunday (26/8).
