The tragedy happened before the match between Persib Bandung against Persija, Sunday (23/9). Haringga Sirila, Persija Jakarta supporter died after the attack by the alleged Persib Bandung supporters.
The heartbreaking event also highlighted by Minister of Youth and Sports Imam Nahrawi. The minister felt the deep condolence and disappointed because Haringga Sirila is another victim of Indonesian football.
“Deep condolence for Haringga Sirila by the attack of supporters in Persib Vs Persija match,” he wrote.
“There is no match equals to a life. I’m terribly disappointed moreover this is not the first time,” he continued.
He also declared that the government would take the action for this repeating tragedy. “This morning I will ask the full information from all parties. The government won’t just stand still if there is always a youth becomes the victim of football.”
Meanwhile, Persija manager Marsma TNI Ardhi Tjahjoko assumed that this tragedy is too much and barbaric. “They have no heart. When will this stop?”
“I hope PSSI and PT LIB will evaluate the regulation in every match. This shouldn’t be underestimated because it keeps on happening. Hopefully, this will be a lesson and consideration,” he said.
