DBasia.news – The results of the first week of the 2020-2021 Premier League competition between defending champions, Liverpool vs Leeds United. Playing at Anfield Stadium, Saturday (12/9/2020) at 23.30 WIB, Liverpool managed to gain the first three points after winning over the promoted team, Leeds United, with a score of 4-3. This was actually enjoyed by the manager, Jurgen Klopp

Mohamed Salah emerged as the hero by scoring hat-tricks, two of which were from the penalty spot. Another goal was recorded by Virgil van Dijk.

Meanwhile, Leeds’ goals were scored by three different players. The three of them are Jack Harrison, Patrick Bamford, and Mateusz Klich.

This victory has indeed made Liverpool start the competition well. However, if you look further, the city rivals, Everton still seem to have many shortcomings.

One of the obvious shortcomings is the weakness of the defense led by Van Dijk. The proof is of course the three goals that the Leeds were able to create.

Even so, Klopp is reluctant to bother with these shortcomings. He chose to enjoy the seven-goal drama presentation at Anfield.

“What a match, what an opponent, what a performance both teams had. It’s the right spectacle, I love it,” Klopp told Sky Sports.

“It’s rare that you see that many goals in one game. We do have room for improvement in defense but things like this are unusual for the first game.”

Klopp still understands the weaknesses of his defensive line. The short preparation time is one reason.

The German manager actually praised Leeds’ performance as a promotion team. Klopp predicted that The Whites would have a brilliant season.

“I really like games against a well-organized and passionate team like Leeds. They will have a good season if they can maintain that intensity,” he concluded.
