DBasia.news – Jose Mourinho claims he loves Frank Lampard, but he hopes his former child care will defeat when they face each other when Chelsea visit Tottenham.
Jose Mourinho’s Spurs squad has reduced the gap with fourth-placed Chelsea to three points since the Portuguese coach replaced Mauricio Pochettino last month.
Last season Derby County, who was still trained by Lampard, was able to remove Manchester United from the Carabo Cup before Mourinho was fired from Old Trafford.
The match on Sunday will be Mourinho and Lampard’s first match against tactics in the English Premier League, both of which have had success together while still at Chelsea.
When asked if he would invite Lampard to his office after the match, Mourinho claimed he would not do it.
“I don’t think so, because our stadium was built so that our office is entirely within our private headquarters,” Mourinho said.
“Until now I have never invited another coach to go there and I don’t think I will do it with Frank.”
“However, as I used to say, a big hug before the match and another after the match, that is definitely done, regardless of the outcome and who will win.”
“Our relationship will be established forever. I will always thank him for what he gave me as a player. That will not change,” he added.
“I love Frank, I will always love him. However, I hope he loses on Sunday.”
