DBasia.news – Recently, Jose Mourinho showed his third syndrome in leading a club. A deep frustration feeling made him a complainer. He told the complaints during the Manchester United’s preseason tour in the US.
What made him frustrated was the lack of player options in the squad. His former key players last season are still on a holiday after the 2018 World Cup. The problem is worsened by the injuries of the players.
The 1-4 defeat from Liverpool during the last match of International Champions Cup worsens it. Moreover, Man United slow transfer just got three players: Lee Grant, Diogo Dalot, and Fred.
The players who are still on holiday will join the squad before the 2018/2019 Premier League, where Man United will play against Leicester City on August 11.
No wonder, the biggest fear came to Mourinho of Man United’s prospect to have a great season, after ending the last season with no trophy. The Special One worried that Man United won’t be able to play well in the initial weeks.
“This is a very strange pre-season. It’s not our fault. They did as always a fantastic job to organize it, and we must give the players at the World Cup a little bit of a holiday,” Mourinho said reported by Goal.
“The pre-season in terms of organization is fantastic but we don’t have our players and that’s a big frustration especially because we go back to Europe and when we arrive, we start the Premier League, with all the risks it takes to us.”
“We are going to start without the players that were involved in the World Cup, without proper training for them and it’s going to be hard. Honestly, I fear it a bit,” Mourinho explained.
Before playing against Leicester, The Red Devils will do two friendly matches versus Real Madrid and Bayern Munchen.
