MU will soon complete the transfer of Alex Telles from Porto

DBasia.news – Manchester United are in further discussions with Porto to sign Brazilian defender, Alex Telles.

United have struggled to obtain the 27-year-old player’s signature. However, it is believed that there will be a breakthrough in negotiations allowing the transfer to be completed by Monday night’s deadline

The good news was that after the match, European football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, said that United were getting closer to completing two new players at once, namely Edinson Cavani and Alex Telles.

“Alex Telles has now arrived in Manchester to sign his contract as a new Man United player. The deal will be announced tomorrow. The contract is until June 2025. This is confirmed,” said Romano.

The final price for Alex Tellex given by Man United and received by Porto was 15 million euros plus variables. Porto was let go because the player reportedly forced a move and wanted to head to the Red Devils.

His value declined because Porto had previously asked for 25 million euros for Telles, but because the player wanted to leave, the club chose to let him go. Telles (27 years old) is contracted until 2025.

“Alex Telles has now arrived in Manchester to sign his contract as a new Man United player. The deal will be announced tomorrow. The contract is until June 2025. This he is confirmed,” added Romano.

The day before reporting about Telles Romano, he also said that United would also recruit Cavani. The 33-year-old striker is without a club after his contract ended with PSG (Paris Saint-Germain), United agreed to pay 10 million euros for his agent.

Atletico Madrid and Benfica who were interested in recruiting him resigned due to the huge demand from Cavani’s agent, which United then agreed to. Cavani will increase the quantity of United’s front line which already has Mason Greenwood, Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford and Odion Ighalo.
