DBasia.news – AC Milan announced on Saturday (21/7) to fire Marco Fassone. They are already appointing a new CEO to replace Fassone, Paolo Scaroni.

Fassone’s position as AC Milan CEO was threatened since the shift of ownership. Elliott Management as the new owner wanted to reshuffle the whole management structure.

Previously, Elliott Management wanted to get Arsenal CEO, Ivan Gazidis. But, Gazidis wasn’t interested to join with I Rossoneri project.

The situation made Elliott Management appointed Scaroni. Scaroni humbled to be chosen as the leader of AC Milan’s high-officials.

“I am humbled by the opportunity to lead AC Milan’s board of directors, and grateful for the trust and support of my fellow board members,” said Scaroni.

“This is a critical moment in the club’s storied history, and we’re all grateful to have a new owner committed to return AC Milan to its former glory,” he continued.

Elliott Management also reshuffled AC Milan’s board of directors. Paolo Scaroni will collaborate with Marco Patuano, Franck Tuil, Giorgio Furlani, Stefano Cocirio, Salvatore Cerchione, Alfredo Craca, and Gianluca D’Avanzo.
