Newcastle Interested in Signing Nabil Fekir

DBasia.news – Newcastle United are reportedly interested in signing Real Betis attacking midfielder Nabil Fekir in the summer transfer window.

Newcastle United are ready to spend 35 million euros or around IDR 548 billion to bring Fekir.

However, Newcastle will be faced with a bit of a challenge as the player just extended his contract with Real Betis until 2026 in January.

Even so, coach Manuel Pellegrini has been asked by the club’s management to sell at least one of their star players in this transfer window in order to overcome the financial crisis facing Real Betis.

Real Betis are open to selling some of their players, if the minimum price they want is met, for Fekir, it is thought they want a big offer.

It is known that Newcastle are currently preparing to bring in key players to navigate the competition for the 2022/23 season.

Newcastle coach Eddie Howe in the January transfer window has brought in several names such as Dan Burn, Chris Wood, Kieran Trippier and Bruno Guimaraes.

This season, Nabil Fekir has appeared in 47 Real Betis matches in various competitions and contributed 10 goals and 10 assists from 3,927 minutes played.

In addition, he also helped Real Betis end the Spanish League in fifth place in the final standings with 65 points from 38 matches, and ensured that Los Verdiblancos appeared in the Europa League next season.

Fekir also successfully led Betis to the Spanish King’s Cup title this season after beating Valencia on penalties in the final.
