Often injured, Eden Hazard’s value drops dramatically

DBasia.news – Since Real Madrid brought him in from Chelsea in 2019 for 100 million euros plus variables, Eden Hazard has not shown his maximum performance. An injury has hampered his progress in adaptation to Los Blancos.

Zinedine Zidane also has not optimally maximized the quality of the 29-year-old player. In that situation Hazard can become a flop player (failed player) if there is no change in this season or his second season with Madrid.

Transfermarkt estimated Hazard’s value at 150 million euros before moving to the Santiago Bernabeu. Now according to the same source his value has dropped dramatically by a reduction of 90 million euros and his current value is 60 million euros.

The decline occurred rapidly within 24 months. Hazard, who left Chelsea after seven years at the club and being successful there in winning collective trophies or personal awards, has not been able to show his quality at Madrid.

Under these conditions it is understandable that Madrid fans have started to worry about seeing their number 7 player fail to live up to the expected expectations. Moreover, the previous user was successful and left with a legend status (Cristiano Ronaldo).

The comparison between Ronaldo and Hazard is reasonable for fans, as they hope that the player is able to make a difference for his team in times of challenging match situations.

Fortunately for Madrid they have many top wing attackers to fill Hazard’s position when the player is not in his prime, such as Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo, Marco Asensio, and Lucas Vazquez. Even Zinedine Zidane gave up when asked about the condition of Hazard’s injury at the beginning of October.

“Hazard experienced a little pain during training before the match. It appeared to be a muscle spasm but in the end it turned out to be more than that,” Zidane said as quoted on Madrid’s official website.

“It has nothing to do with the injury he had before. I don’t think this injury will take long but I can’t tell you exactly.”
