DBasia.news –  Manchester United are still likely to sell their players in the transfer market this summer. Moreover, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, United’s manager, admitted that there were too many stocks on defenders.

The arrival of Harry Maguire from Leicester City with a tag of 80 million pounds – the world’s most expensive defender transfer record – adds to the number of players at the back. Eric Bailly, Victor Lindelof, Marcos Rojo, Phil Jones, Chris Smalling, and Axel Tuanzebe, are Man United’s central defenders.

Lindelof has been strongly predicted to be Solskjaer’s first choice as Maguire’s companion. While one of the remaining defenders has the potential to be sold this summer. The summer transfer market in the UK has closed, however, it is not the case in Europe.

“That will be something we will be working on (selling defenders), and of course I do have too many center backs to make everyone happy,” Solskjaer explained.

“But we have to win games, we have to look good, so we will choose the players who will give us the biggest chance to win the game.”

Rojo has the most potential to move to other clubs after failing to head to Everton. Reportedly, AS Roma are eyeing the Argentine national team defender after failing to bring in Dejan Lovren and difficulty in recruiting Toby Alderweireld.

In addition to the center back position, full-back (right or left back) from Italy, Matteo Darmian, will also be released by Man United. Reportedly, the former Torino player has reached a personal agreement with Inter Milan to join in 2020.
