DBasia.news – The new contract until 2020 doesn’t give a big impact for Jose Mourinho in Manchester United. In fact, he got sacked following the club’s inconsistent performance.
The former Real Madrid manager left the coaching seat on December 18th, 2018, just two days after the 3-1 failure against the rival, Liverpool.
Not too long after that, the club appointed their former player, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as the interim manager until the season ends. He successfully presented the 5-1 victory against Cardiff City in the first match, Saturday (22/12).
Four days later, on December 26th, Solskjaer would have the first match at Old Trafford against Huddersfield. The Norway man revealed that he feels a bit nervous but can’t wait to meet Manchester United fans.
“It’s not easy, I don’t think it will be easy, but I’m looking forward to it and I think the boys are looking forward to playing at Old Trafford. That’s the key, we should be looking forward to playing there,” Solskjaer said cited by Sky Sports.
“Of course, you try to keep your emotion in check because I’m there to do a job, I’ve got to be focused,” he added.
Concluding, the former player from 1996 until 2007 also said The Red Devils fans as the best in the world.
“They’re the best fans in the world. Of course, I already have my history at the club, but to see that banner is special. I just hope in the next coming five months I’ll do a good enough job for them to keep singing my name when someone else gets in there,” the 45-year-old man concluded.
