DBasia.news – Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has become Manchester United’s hero. Whether from actively playing or being a manager, Solskjaer has a great story.
Solskjaer has scored 91 goals and won 11 titles during his time with Manchester United. This record has already included a historical goal that was created in the Champions League final 1999.
His role has now shifted into being a manager, he replaced Jose Mourinho’s position in the coaching seat.
So far, Solskjaer’s presence has given positive outcome. Manchester United achieved nine wins plus one draw in various matches.
Apparently, he has also given a positive impact outside of the field. Mirror reported that the Norwegian Manager has improved the tourism in the city of Manchester.
According to Mirror, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has increased the visits to 89 percent compared to last season in the same period. Impressively, 20 percent of the amount comes from Norway. Besides that, Norwegians who have visited Thomas Cook Sport’s page has increased to 138 percent.
“The Premier League always brings a surprise and change in managerial recently, and Old Trafford is certainly of them. We have seen a huge boost in sales and high interest from the Norwegian sports travel agents. It seems to be because of Solskjaer’s return to Old Trafford,” says the head of Thomas Cook Sport, Rob Slawson.
The same effect was also felt by Manchester when Zlatan Ibrahimovic joined. At the time many Swedes visited Old Trafford.
“We have seen this a couple years back when Ibrahimovic boosted the amount of visitors from Sweden through ticket and hotel sales,” says Rob Slawson.
However, Solskjaer’s position as Manchester United manager is still temporary. Allegedly the Red Devils has targeted Mauricio Pochettino to fill in the position next season.
