Olympique Lyon Hopes to Play Without Spectators when against Juventus

By db-admin

DBasia.news –  Olympique Lyon hopes the match against Juventus in the second leg of the Champions League top 16 round, Wednesday (18/03) AM can be held without spectators. This was proposed by the club due to the corona virus that has spread in several countries.

Lyon filed this for the safety of their team. The Les Gones team’s request was only a one-sided request and has not been confirmed by UEFA or Juventus.

As a form of responsibility when Lyon’s request is approved, they are ready to refund the ticket that has been purchased by supporters of Rudi Garcia’s team.

“At the moment, this information has not been confirmed to us, either by UEFA or by Juventus.”

“For Lyon supporters who have bought their tickets for this match, we will return the money as soon as we know exactly where and under what conditions the match will be played,” wrote a statement on Lyon’s official website.

Lyon’s concerns regarding the safety of their players may be due to the presence of Juventus players and U-23 managers who have contracted the Corona virus.

The Pianese team (U-23 Juventus) is said to have performed a quarantine for all members of the team and has stopped all training activities.

The step was taken to stop the spread of Corona virus on the team. The quarantine process which requires all team members not to leave their homes continues until March 8, 2020.
