One Player Targeted by Liverpool, Udinese Immediately Set a High Price

DBasia.news – Liverpool are interested in signing Rodrigo De Paul, but Udinese will not sell the Argentine for less than 40 million euros.

Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp, reportedly asked management to bring in a new midfielder. Klopp feels that his new early-season signing, Thiago Alcantara, has not been optimal because he is often hit by injuries.

Klopp put Rodrigo de Paul’s name on his list. He considered that the Argentine national team player would make the Reds’ second line even more qualified.

However, it was not an easy matter to get Rodrigo de Paul. Udinese as the owner places a high official price on the captain.

“Rodrigo de Paul is a talented player and is the center of our team. He is a gem and has a gem price,” said vice president of Udinese, Stefano Campoccia, as reported by Corriere dello Sport.

“The proposal will not meet our demand if the price offered is less than 40 million euros,” he continued.

The vice president’s statement was confirmed by the transfer market expert, Fabrizio Romano. He assessed that Udinese will not release the 26-year-old under 35 million euros.

The price posted by Udinese makes Liverpool have not made any steps. The Reds do not have the ability to disburse such large funds in the midst of the corona virus pandemic that attacks the economy.

Udinese bought Rodrigo de Paul from Valencia for 3 million euros in 2016. So far, he has played 164 games with 28 assists and 28 goals. De Paul’s contract expires in June 2024.
