Overpriced, Real Madrid Undo Pursuing Paul Pogba

Paul Pogba

DBasia.news –  Real Madrid seem to have to begin to forget the target in the hunt for Manchester United’s midfielder Paul Pogba. Man United are priced too expensive and Madrid retreated slowly.

According to news published by Marca, Man United bought Pogba for 200 million euros and had no intention of negotiating or selling it. The official makes Madrid reluctant to continue the transfer process to recruit Pogba.

“There is no accusation that management in Madrid did not try to fulfill Zinedine Zidane’s desire to recruit Pogba, but it is clear the Manchester United owner has no intention or even negotiation, it can be seen from the unreasonable selling price,” said a statement at Marca

Moreover, Madrid has spent 300 million euros more in the transfer market this summer to recruit six players. If they force too much to buy Pogba for 200 million euros, then they have the potential to violate the FFP (Financial Fair Play) rules.

However, a different confession was made by Pogba’s agent, Mino Raiola. He believes Pogba’s transfer saga is not over and he will try his best to complete his transfer.

“There is still nothing (new news about Pogba’s transfer). Staying at Manchester United? I live every day, we see what happens. The end of this story hasn’t been written. We are here today, I don’t know what happens tomorrow,” Raiola said.

Considering United’s insistence on selling Pogba at that price, Madrid might switch the focus to another midfielder such as Donny van de Beek or Christian Eriksen. In 2016, United bought Pogba for 89 million pounds from Juventus.

The club from Turin is another destination for Pogba, however, Juventus have also recruited many players this summer and only recently brought Matthijs de Ligt from Ajax Amsterdam.

Paul Pogba’s Chance to Real Madrid: 45%

All will depend on Man United’s management. If they want to reduce the transfer price, Pogba could leave to Madrid in the near future. If not, it’s difficult for Pogba to go from Old Trafford for the second time.
