Paul Pogba’s long wait to get out of fasting goals has finally come true. After 1.5 years, Pogba finally scored again for Manchester United.
Pogba for the past 15 months could not appear as usual due to injury. Throughout this season Pogba has even missed nearly 40 matches due to repeated ankle injuries.
Not to mention that the windswell performance of last season made Pogba and his future to be speculated. Real Madrid and Juventus are said to want to propose the French player.
But, the suspension of the season due to the corona virus pandemic for three months apparently brought blessings to him. Pogba could focus on restoring his condition after a prolonged injury and have the opportunity to appear again.
Since the Premier League started again, Pogba has appeared five times. Only when facing Tottenham Hotspur he became a substitute, while the rest until the match against Aston Villa, Friday (07/10/2020), Pogba is always a starter.
The result MU won four consecutive wins and Pogba has a share through two assists. The climax is when Pogba broke Villa’s goal in a 3-0 win while breaking the goal fasting for 1.5 years.
The last time Pogba made a goal in the Premier League was when Manchester United won 2-1 over West Ham United on April 13th. Paul Pogba also hopes he can perform consistently and continue to score goals so that MU finish in the top four.
“At the moment I am recovering from a long injury – I just focus on myself to be more fit and help the team as much as I can,” Pogba said as quoted by Sportskeeda.
“This year we have two missions – the Europa League champions and the FA Cup. So we will focus there first,” continued the Frenchman.
Paul Pogba has now made one goal and four assists in 14 appearances in all competitions.
