DBasia.news –  Manchester United failed to continue the winning trend when playing against Burnley at Old Trafford on the 24th-week of Premier League, Wednesday (30/1). The center-back Paul Pogba comments about the failure to achieve three points.

Burnley surprised Manchester United with their two initial goals. The away team scored the goals by Ashley Barnes at 51′ and Chris Wood at 81′.

Paul Pogba cut the gap to be 2-1 after executing the penalty kick at 87′. Victor Lindelof was the hero after scoring the goal in the injury time. With the 2-2 draw result, Manchester United must be patient to qualify for the Champions League zone.

After the match, Pogba was disappointed by Manchester United’s performance in the first half. The French player felt regret of the failure in gaining the full point.

“We have to learn from our mistakes and next time start the game differently. Like the manager said, you have to start strong and be aggressive because that’s what they were in the first half,” Pogba said cited by FourFourTwo.

Pogba admits Manchester United were too confident to defeat Burnley. “We played like we were winning 1-0 or 2-0, that’s where we went wrong,” he confessed.

“The comeback was positive but the result was disappointing. The reaction was good, we didn’t lose, but we dropped two points we could have won,” he insisted.

Meanwhile, another Manchester United player Nemanja Matic thinks The Red Devils should achieve three points. But, Matic admits Burnley played well.

“I think it is two points lost, we expect more from this game. We wanted to win, but after 2-0 down we have to be happy with one point,” Matic explained.
