Paul Pogba’s Long Distance Goal to Fulham’s Goal Received Praise

DBasia.news – Manchester United coach, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer praised Paul Pogba’s goal against Fulham. He said the French midfielder played brilliantly and brought victory for the Red Devils.

Manchester United was conceded earlier in the match, which made Fulham able to score a goal in the fifth minute through Ademola Lookman. But that didn’t make Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team panic.

Manchester United were able to get up and equalize in the 21st minute through Edinson Cavani’s action. Pogba finally became the winner for the visitors after his hard shot from outside the penalty box in the 21st minute was unable to be stopped by Alphonse Areola.

The goal was quite special because it was scored by Pogba using his left foot. As is known, the French national player is not a left-footed player.

“I kicked the ball well. I didn’t imagine it could be like that because it was done with my left foot, but if you don’t try, then you don’t score,” Pogba told BT Sport.

“It was a beautiful goal and a beautiful win. But it was not my favorite goal, but still beautiful.”

Interestingly, Pogba made this goal a moment of redemption. He felt guilty after wasting a golden opportunity when Manchester United drew a goalless draw against Liverpool in the previous match.

Pogba did have a golden opportunity in the match against Liverpool when he received the ball in the penalty box ahead of the end of the second half. But his hard shot was actually aimed at Alisson.

“I was really angry after the Liverpool game for failing to score. I probably should have played better but we today scored a goal,” he added.

“The most important thing was the win today. We did it the hard way and did it in a beautiful way.”
