DBasia.news – Arsenal star, Mesut Ozil is considered to be a short-term answer to overcome the problem at Manchester United. Paul Scholes, a former Red Devils player, suggested that Manchester United should recruit Ozil to Old Trafford.
Ozil only made two appearances for the Gunners this season after he found it challenging to win the full trust of Unai Emery.
Ozil, whose contract at Emirates Stadium is valid until the summer of 2021, is said to have the chance to leave the club in the January transfer window.
Scholes said Ozil could be “the short-term answer” for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s club.
“Manchester United can work with someone like Ozil who is able to connect teams together. [He is] a player who can connect teams together. He has great quality. He showed that in his career,” Scholes told BT Sport.
“He can be a short-term answer, I’m not sure. I think it will depend on him, in the end. I don’t [see that happening], but he is the type of player, short-term, that United can do with him.”
Ozil has scored 43 goals in 233 appearances for Arsenal since arriving from Real Madrid in 2014.
