Pep Guardiola: Difficult to Find a Substitute for Aguero

DBasia.news –  Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola said that Sergio Aguero will decide his own future and it will be difficult to find a replacement, after the Argentine’s contract expires in June 2021.

Aguero has scored 244 goals in 355 appearances for City, including his goal against QPR which led the Citizen to win the Premier League for the first time in the 2011/12 season.

The 31-year-old striker’s contract will expire in 18 months and Guardiola admits that the club will find it difficult to replace his figure.

“I would say that replacing him will be one of the hardest things, he is irreplaceable,” Guardiola said.

“We have an extraordinary attacker in Gabriel (Jesus) and maybe another one will come when Sergio leaves, but he is irreplaceable.”

“I think the most important moment of this club, is when Sergio scored against Queen’s Park Rangers to win the first English Premier League trophy. That moment is far better than winning four titles in a season and he is the one.”

“It’s not easy to find a player with his status, personality, what he has done in football with humility.”
