DBasia.news – Pep Guardiola called on LaLiga president Javier Tebas to focus on his own league and Spanish clubs. Guardiola’s response after Tebas commented on Manchester City’s spending in the transfer market.
Guardiola defended the existing management model in the Premier League. Not to forget, Guardiola also criticized Tebas.
“There are examples of better management out there,” Guardiola said of LaLiga.
“You look at Asia. Tebas has to learn what they are doing there. Maybe he can sell his products better in other countries,” said the former Barcelona coach.
“People complain, but thanks to investments other clubs in different countries can continue to do something,” he added.
“Tebas has to learn because it seems like he knows more than everyone and is wiser than everyone. He invites himself to other people’s houses,” said Guardiola.
“Maybe with the change, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid and Valencia will have more resources to make the investment they need.”
Guardiola explained, City had to make adjustments because if they didn’t do something right, there would be problems and they would have to defend themselves in court.
Through a tweet on Twitter, Tebas replied to Guardiola’s criticism. “Pep, I learn from the Premier League every day. It would be nice if they taught you a little bit about the macroeconomics of football, about the impact of state clubs on wage inflation, demographics, the impact of pay-TV, China and acquittals at CAS (Court of Arbitration for Sport), we’ll have a story.”
