Perrin Failed to Pass Medical Tests at Benfica

Mattia Perin

DBasia.news –  Mattia Perin’s move from Juventus to Benfica is likely to be delayed or even canceled. This is because the player failed the medical test on the Portuguese team.

Perrin’s transfer is planned to reach 15 million euros with the duration of the next five-year contract. However, Benfica is now rethinking to recruit Perin as a player next season because of a dubious medical history.

Perin came to Portugal with a history of injury. Starting from shoulder injuries, to torn knee muscles in both legs. Now, the former Genoa goalkeeper must return to Turin to undergo treatment and is expected to take until November or December.

Perin suffered a tear in his right leg ligament muscle in April 2016. The following year, it was his left leg’s turn that had torn ligament muscles. While his shoulder underwent two operations each in June 2015 and April 2019.

Portuguese local media, Record, wrote that the failure of this medical test could affect the fate of the transfer in the future. It is not impossible that all negotiations will end in a deadlock and Perin must return to Juventus next season.
