DBasia.news –  The 37-year-old goalkeeper, Petr Cech, decided to retire with a career as a professional footballer at the end of the 2018/19 season. Arsenal’s match against Chelsea in the Europa League final was Cech’s last match.

Inevitably, the public began to wonder about what he would do after he was no longer under the crossbar of his team. Slowly the mystery of Cech’s future began to unfold after previously circulating photos of him holding the Chelsea jersey at Stamford Bridge, now the club has finally officially appointed Cech as the Club’s Technical and Performance Advisor.

Reported by the club’s official website, Cech is in charge of providing input and advice to the club regarding everything that happens on the field and also bridging relationships between the first team and the academy team.

As is known, the position of technical director / technical advisor has not yet been filled after the departure of Michael Emenalo in 2017, all matters concerning the transfer of players were fully controlled by Marina Granovskaia as club director.

Petr Cech is not a stranger at Stamford Bridge, he is one of the best players the Blues have. Strengthening the team in 2004 to 2015, he successfully appeared in 494 matches and managed to present various trophies such as four Premier League and FA Cup, three League Cups and of course two European titles, Champions League and Europa League.

Cech was not the first club legend to decide to return to Stamford Bridge, before Carlo Cudicini, Henrique Hilario and Paulo Ferreira had already returned and took on the duties of coaching staff and club ambassadors.
