DBasia.news –  AC Milan continues to maintain a positive trend in Serie A. Entertaining Cagliari San Siro on Monday (11/2) early morning, the Rossoneri won 3-0 with goals scored: an own goal by Luca Ceppitelli (13 ‘), Lucas Paqueta ( 22 ‘), and Krzysztof Piatek (62’).

The last two names immediately became new idols for the San Siro public. A Fan with the Twitter account @DonnyPradiptaa have even seen both resemble the legendary duo of Milan, Kaka and Andriy Shevchenko.

Comparisons like that are supposed to be too premature at this time. But it can also be understood, because Milan has ‘fallen asleep’ for years and performed with sophistication and difficulty, to just take place in the Champions League zone.

Paqueta was bought from Flamengo for 35 million euros last January. Likewise, Piatek was bought in the winter transfer market. A dowry of 35 million euros was spent by Milan to buy him from Genoa as a replacement for Gonzalo Higuain who left for Chelsea.

It didn’t take long for both of them to assimilate in the game that Gennaro Gattuso applied in Milan. Paqueta and Piatek are the two actors involved in Milan’s unbeaten record in Serie A since December 2018.

Starting from a goalless draw against Frosinone on 26 December, Milan won 2-1 against SPAL (30/12), 2-0 against Genoa (21/1), goalless draw against Napoli (27/1),  1-1 draw against Roma (4/2), before winning a landslide victory over Cagliari.

Milan’s performance has not reached perfection. Nevertheless, Gennaro Gattuso has begun to see the team play the way he wants.

“We have started play with our way of dealing with pressure and this is what I want to see. All of this is about two phases, defending and attacking, because some teams can only do one. For the last five-six games, I think we have done it better, “said Gattuso on Football-Italy.

Paqueta is a regulator for Milan’s attack with the ability to drain the ball from the back line to the front. While Piatek is even better: scoring four goals in his last three games.

Piatek’s goal collection become 15 in Serie A and he ranks fourth in Serie A’s top scorer under Cristiano Ronaldo (18 goals), Duvan Zapata (16 goals), and Fabio Quagliarella (16 goals). “Robocop? I prefer people to call me Pistolero,” Piatek said.

After fighting Cagliari, Il Diavolo Rosso will visit Atalanta’s headquarters on Week 24 of Serie A, Sunday (17/2) 2:30 a.m. WIB.

The game is arguably a big game because Atalanta is a giant killer team. Gian Piero Gasperini’s landing team beat Inter Milan with a score of 4-1, held Juventus to a score of 2-2 and AS Roma through a score of 3-3, then eliminated Juventus in the Coppa Italia quarter-final with the score 3-0.
