DBasia.news – Tight restrictions on the presence of audience in the direct match of La Liga between Real Mallorca against Barcelona on Saturday local time, did not stop Lionel Messi fans to sneak in and enter the field.
Wearing the Argentine national team jersey and holding his phone, the fans calmly walked to the field at the beginning of the second half of the match and defied the league’s social distancing rules by approaching Barca defender, Jordi Alba before heading to Messi.
The intruder was immediately secured by security guards before he could make contact with the world’s best players six times this year. Finally, two officers were able to bring the fans out of the field, according to Reuters, monitored in Jakarta.
At the top of La Liga, Barcelona successfully won the match with a score of 4-0. This victory is the first since the season has restarted after a three-month break due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Upon the incident of spectators entering in between matches, the host, Mallorca has not provided an explanation.
Security breaches are surprising given that only 229 people have been permitted to enter the stadium in a match from beginning to end of the season. This is the latest protocol in continuing the league. The protocol also includes strict guidelines on how teams enter and leave the stadium for matches and requires players to wear masks and gloves on their way from the team hotel to the changing rooms
