PSG Loses from Lyon, Juventus is now a team that has never lost in the European League competition

PSG vs Lyon

DBasia.news –  Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) swallowed their first defeat in Ligue 1 2018-19. The defeat was given by Olympique Lyonnais with a score of 1-2 in Week 23, Monday (4/2) early morning Western Indonesian Time.

Had a lead via Angel Di Maria’s goal in the seventh minute, Lyon responded through two goals created by Moussa Dembele (33 ‘) and Nabil Fekir’s penalty in the 49th minute. The defeat did not change the position in the standings.

PSG is still firmly on top with 56 points and playing two fewer matches. While Lyon is ranked third with a collection of 43 points. The defeat did not change the fact that PSG’s great potential won the Ligue 1 title this season.

However, the defeat made Juventus the only team that has never lost among the top five European leagues. The Bianconeri have went through 22 matches with 19 wins and three draws: reaching 60 points.

While in other leagues, Liverpool have once lost to Manchester City with a score of 1-2 in the Premier League. Even so, Barcelona have lost twice to Leganes (1-2) and Real Betis (3-4). The similarities between Liverpool and Barca are both still leading the league standings respectively.

In the Bundesliga, Germany, Lucien Favre’s Borussia Dortmund lost 1-2 to Fortuna Dusseldorf on December 18 2018. Just like Liverpool, PSG and Barcelona, Die Borussen is also still at the top of the Bundesliga standings.

Juve are still unbeaten so far. But, their slick performance was accompanied by notes that could be a warning to Massimiliano Allegri’s team.

In the last two matches in all competitions, Juventus conceded six goals when they lost 3-0 to Atalanta in the Coppa Italia and drew 3-3 against Parma. The last time Juve conceded six goals in two matches in a row were in 2011 under Luigi Del Neri.

The absence of the BBC trio: Andrea Barzagli, Leonardo Bonucci and Giorgio Chiellini because of the injury affected the balance on Juve’s back line. Certainly a warning for Juve who will visit Sassuolo headquarters on Monday (11/2) at 00.00 Western Indonesian Time, in the next match.
