PSG’s way of keeping Kylian Mbappe

DBasia.news – Kylian Mbappe’s future at Paris Saint-Germain will soon become clear in the next few days, with GOAL conforming that he has agreed  terms with Real Madrid and the French superstar’s transfer will be announced after the Champions League final in late May.

Mbappe’s contract at PSG is only one month away, but Les Parisiens refuse to give up and offer the ‘ultimate weapon’ to keep the 23-year-old player.

According to Sky Sports, PSG are willing to double their salary package to £4m per month, and are offering a signing on fee, money paid to players once they sign a new contract or join a new club, for an exorbitant value of £100 million.

This amount does not include bonuses from goals, as well as achievements in the European Champions League and Ballon d’Or.

It is understood, however, that PSG knew Mbappe would be paid significantly less at Madrid, indicating that his move was not financially motivated.

Over the past 18 months, the Ligue 1 champions have tried everything to persuade Mbappe to stay at the Parc des Princes. The club say he is PSG’s heartbeat, and consider Mbappe to be everything that Les Parisiens represents: born in Paris, a global phenomenon and an unstoppable figure in football.

But sources close to Mbappe reportedly feel PSG’s funds doesn’t match their ambitions, and there is a notion that they are hampering Mbappe’s career.

PSG’s poor record in the European Champions League was the reason the reigning World Cup champions decided to leave for Los Blancos, a club that has won the UCL 13 times and can add to that record if they beat Liverpool in the final at the end of May.
