DBasia.news – BOPI asked PSSI and PT LIB to terminate the competition until the case of Haringga Sirla, a Persija Jakarta who died at Gelora Bandung Lautan Api Stadium on Sunday (23/9) closed. The organization led by Richard Sambera want the Liga 1 and Liga 2 terminated until the next 7 days.

PT Liga Indonesia Baru (LIB) as the competition operator refused the plan to terminate Liga 1. Many parties will be disadvantaged if that happens, including the sponsor and broadcast license holder.

“There would be many disadvantages. Not only to the club, but also other parties. Let’s say the sponsor and television broadcast license holder,” PT LIB media and public relation Hanif Marjuni told reporters.

PT LIB kept on advising the club to obey the competition regulation as part of the responsibility of Haringga’s death.

Haringga died due to the attack from Bobotoh when he was about to watch Persija Jakarta’s match. His death leaves grief for many people.

PT LIB, Hanif said, don’t have the authority to punish Persib. Later, the decision will on the disciplinary committee of PSSI.

“So far, we emphasize to the club for the function and role as an operator,” Hanif said.
