Radja Nainggolan has banned Romelu Lukaku from moving to Chelsea

DBasia.news – Romelu Lukaku’s second attempt at Chelsea has not gone well so far. The Belgian striker has scored 12 goals and provided two assists in 38 games across all competitions this season.

But the record minutes of play is only 2,371 minutes. Lukaku is still unable to compete with Kai Havertz up front. Even recently when Chelsea lost 2-4 to Arsenal, Lukaku’s performance was poor and he seemed to have no passion for asking for the ball or moving to find space.

The 28-year-old striker was heavily criticized. Moreover, Chelsea brought him in for £98 million.

What Lukaku showed was drastically different from last season when he won the Scudetto with Antonio Conte’s Inter Milan.

His compatriot in the Belgian national team, Radja Nainggolan, commented on Lukaku’s career in his second spell with Chelsea. He admitted that he had given a warning to Lukaku before returning there.

“I have told Lukaku that he is the best striker in the world at Inter. Teams and tactical systems formed around him. He dreams of succeeding at Chelsea, but this is the third time he has gone there and it always ends the same way.

“If he stays at Inter he will be the best striker in the world for four or five years and I keep telling him this.”

In the system of playing Inter last season with Chelsea today, there is indeed a difference. With Inter Lukaku was the center of the game on the front lines, assisted by his tandem, plus the defense of the Italian teams is not as aggressive as in England. While in England Lukaku had to move for space and that was not the best aspect of his game.
