Rakitic Admits the MSN Trio has made Barcelona Feel Superior

DBasia.news – Ivan Rakitic recalled that Barcelona’s success in winning the treble title in the 2014/2015 season was masterminded by a trio of deadly attack lines from MSN, which consisted of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, and Neymar.

The trio formed a deadly attacking trio in Europe, with Barcelona succeeding in ensuring a season-wide triumph after beating Juventus 3-1 in the Champions League final match in Berlin, Germany.

Suarez and Neymar scored in that match, and their collaboration with Messi was one of the most enjoyed times by Rakitic while in Barcelona.

“It was very enjoyable. You can see the anxiety of your opponent, as they had to focus fully and was unable to concentrate on escorting who,” said Rakitic when talking about the MSN trio with Marca.

“We attack at every opportunity, we are dangerous and deep, and have everything. It is a joy to be able to play with them. We are strong and has become stronger as time goes by.

“We reached the final in top form and I remember what it felt like. We said that we didn’t want the season to end soon because we wanted to continue playing. There was a sense of superiority that made us want to continue playing.”

It was Barcelona’s inaugural season with Luis Enrique as coach, but Rakitic explained that the presence of MSN has made them feel so superior.

“[The key is] how the players are combined and how hungry the new players are. All of this is duplicated by a great coach [Luis Enrique] who knows the smallest details and how to control everything.

“It was an impressive season and I still remember everything to this day: what happened in the final, the match, the goal, after the game – everything was not forgotten. The final will be embeded in my mind.”
