DBasia.news – Former Manchester United midfielder, Bastian Schweinsteiger, commented on Ralf Rangnick’s leadership at the Red Devils. According to him, Rangnick is the right figure to lead Man United.
Ralf Rangnick is believed to be the manager of Manchester United to fill the position left by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. Big hopes are on the shoulders of the German manager. Moreover, Rangnick has a slick track record and is called the inventor of a successful gegenpressing tactic in the Premier League.
However, so far, Manchester United have not achieved consistency. Rangnick is reportedly also having problems with a number of the Red Devils players.
However, Schweinsteiger feels Manchester United took the right step by bringing Rangnick.
“It’s true, I got to know him pretty well when I was at Stuttgart and Schalke,” explains Schweinsteiger on the UTD Podcast.
“I was impressed by his work at Red Bull Leipzig as a coach. He did a great job. He has a unique way of looking at a game and a club.”
Rangnick’s managerial ability is also considered to be a plus for Manchester United. That way, Man United doesn’t just improve from within the field.
“Rangnick can help Manchester United create a new era. Not only in terms of matches, but also for the club as a whole,” said the former Bayern Munich player.
“I feel that Manchester United really needs it at this time. So, I think Rangnick is the perfect person for the current conditions.”
Currently, Manchester United are in fourth place in the standings with 38 points. However, Man United are very likely to be shifted by Arsenal or Tottenham Hotspur.
