Rangnick could be considered as a permanent coach at Man United

DBasia.news – Manchester United legend, Gary Neville has expressed his opinion regarding Ralf Rangnick’s position as captain of the Red Devils. According to him, Rangnick could be considered as a permanent manager if the results of the rest of the season are positive.

Ralf Rangnick officially made his debut as Manchester United manager against Crystal Palace. The result has been satisfying. The Red Devils are 1-0 ahead.

Neville thinks Ralf Rangnick is one of the options if Manchester United fail to find a new manager.

“Suppose no world class coach wants to lead Manchester United for four years and Ralf Rangnick has had a good six months, I would not oppose him staying next season,” Neville said as reported by Sky Sports.

“However, if by mid-season there is a willing world-class manager, as was the case with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer when Mauricio Pochettino left Tottenham, that could change.”

Neville thinks Manchester United must be precise in determining Rangnick’s future. In addition, the Red Devils also need to be prepared for sudden changes.

“Perhaps, Ralf Rangnick can rise to a role above it when a manager comes in.”

“If there is a world-class manager at the end of the season and Rangnick is doing a good job, they have to appoint a world-class manager for a bigger project, which is four years,” said Neville.

“That’s what I see at the moment. If Rangnick wins the Champions League and the players love him, you have to keep him.”
