Ranieri still regards Man United as Europe’s biggest club

DBasia.news – Claudio Ranieri insists that Manchester United is one of the biggest clubs in Europe. This was revealed ahead of the Watford vs Man United match.

The Watford vs Man United match took place at Vicarage Road in the continued Premier League, Saturday (20/11/2021). Ranieri, who is now in charge of Watford, did not have a good record against the Red Devils.

Of the 16 matches there were only two wins, it was all while coaching Chelsea. Ranieri’s results against Man United were six draws and eight defeats.

Watford might be able to make a surprise under Ranieri like when they defeated Everton 2-5. Manchester United happen to be on a bad run having only won once and lost four of their last six Premier League games this season.

“I don’t know if it’s the right time (to play against Manchester United), but if it is the time to play against Manchester United then we are ready to play against one of the biggest teams in Europe and in England of course,” Ranieri told Sky Sports.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s future at the Red Devils coaching position is still heating up due to a series of bad results. MU’s most embarrassing defeat was when they were defeated by Liverpool 0-5 at Old Trafford.

“The manager is always under pressure in every country, at all times also 20 to 30 years ago, that’s our life,” Ranieri revealed.

“We are alone, we have to fight, we have to be very clear with our players and do our best. With sport, you can win, you can draw, you can lose, but the important thing is that you are fine.”

MU currently sits in sixth place in the Premier League standings with 17 points. Watford are 17th with 10 points.
