DBasia.news – RThe COVID-19 storm at Real Madrid has not abated. Madrid announced that four more players have tested positive for the coronavirus.
Through its official website, Wednesday (12/29/2021), Madrid announced that Thibaut Courtois, Eduardo Camavinga, Fede Valverde and Vinicius had tested positive for COVID-19.
“Real Madrid C.F announces that our players Courtois, Valverde, Camavinga and Vinicius Jr. have tested positive for COVID-19,” read a Madrid statement on their official website.
The four players underwent tests on Tuesday (12/28/2021) yesterday. Following the positive results of the four players, the Madrid squad will undergo further PCR tests on Thursday (12/30/2021) morning local time.
This news is a blow to Real Madrid. Courtois and Vinicius are Carlo Ancelotti’s regular starters.
Madrid has been hit by the COVID-19 storm in recent weeks. Before the Christmas break, players such as Luka Modric, Marcelo, Marco Asensio, Rodrygo, Gareth Bale, Andriy Lunin, David Alaba and Isco also tested positive for COVID-19.
