Real Madrid Attracted to Dominik Szoboszlai
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Real Madrid has a new transfer policy after not bringing in any new players in the summer of 2020. They only maximize the services of loan players last season.
The corona virus pandemic is the reason Madrid does not recruit new players. However their transfer plans are still there for January 2021 or in the summer transfer market 2021. Several players are in the shot.
The club’s transfer policy changed following the pandemic. No longer recruiting high-priced stars, Madrid is now looking for young talent at relatively cheap or reasonable prices. One of the players according to the US is Dominik Szoboszlai.
The 20-year-old midfielder became a star of the Hungarian national team in the 2-1 win over Iceland in the 2020 European Cup qualifying. Szoboszlai scored one goal while Loic Nego scored the other. Hungary qualifies for the 2020 European Cup group phase.
According to Twitter records @ Euro2020 Szoboszlai has now been directly involved in 16 goals (seven goals and nine assists) from 16 games for club and country this season. In order to complete it, the RB Salzburg player also scored two goals in the Champions League.
Szoboszlai has a contract with Salzburg until June 30, 2022 and has been playing there since January 2018. From Transfermarkt’s data the price is around 25 million euros – relatively cheap for Madrid to recruit.
Madrid is not alone in monitoring Szoboszlai because Arsenal, AC Milan and RB Leipzig are also interested in him. Reportedly Madrid are willing to sell Isco if there is a big chance to recruit Szoboszlai who can play as a creator behind the striker or left winger.
If Madrid are successful in recruiting him then he will follow in the footsteps of his predecessor from Hungary who also played there, Ferenc Puskas. The legend nicknamed Canoncito Pum played from 1958-1966 scoring 242 goals and played 262 matches with Madrid.
