Real Madrid Closer to Recruit Ferland Mendy

Ferland Mendy

DBasia.news –  France national team coach, Didier Deschamps, indirectly confirmed Real Madrid’s fourth new recruit this summer.

Real Madrid have so far brought in three players: Eder Militao (Porto), Luka Jovic (Eintracht Frankfurt), and Eden Hazard (Real Madrid). Not to mention Rodrygo Goes who will come from Santos after being purchased last year.

Another new player who will go to Santiago Bernabeu as left back, Ferland Mendy. Confirmed by Deschamps, the 24-year-old player who can play as a midfielder headed for Madrid from Olympique Lyonnais.

“Ferland’s development is great, he is in Ligue 2 (second caste of French football) two years ago and he will be at Real Madrid (next season). Both his legs are active and plays well with us everytime,” said Deschamps, as reported by Goal.

Mendy reportedly purchased Madrid from Lyon for 50 million euros. The Le Havre’s academy product was brought in to compete as well as to become a coating and successor for Marcelo in Madrid. While the other left back, Sergio Reguillon was on loan at another club.

Two seasons to strengthen Lyon since moving from Le Havre, Mendy has become one of the world’s best full-backs and has twice entered the Ligue 1 Best Team category. Marcelo certainly can’t relax with Mendy’s presence in the Madrid squad.

The reshuffle of the squad by Zinedine Zidane did not stop there. Madrid, allegedly, is still eyeing Paul Pogba (Manchester United) and Christian Eriksen (Tottenham Hotspur).
