Real Madrid target Alexander Isak as additional striker

DBasia.news – Real Madrid have not stopped their activity in the hunt for player purchases this summer, this time Real Madrid are targeting Alexander Isak as an additional striker for the next season.

Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has admitted that he has completed the purchase of players ahead of the 2022-2023 season. The Spanish giants managed to land Aurelien Tchouameni and Antonio Rudiger.

Tchouameni was brought from AS Monaco for around 80 million euros. The 22-year-old is a long-term investment to become a replacement for Luka Modric or Toni Kroos.

Meanwhile, Rudiger was brought in for free after his contract with Chelsea ended. His presence will certainly make Madrid’s defense more difficult to penetrate.

The presence of Tchouameni and Rudiger seemed to enhance the strength of Madrid which throughout last season managed to secure the LaLiga trophy and the Champions League. While one other target, Kylian Mbappe, failed to be obtained because he chose to stay at Paris Saint-Germain (PSG).

Madrid did not insist on finding a replacement for Mbappe. That’s because they still have Mariano Diaz, Borja Mayoral, and Juanmi Latasa as upfront coating options.

But that does not mean Madrid is quite satisfied with the material on the front lines. According to Mundo Deportivo’s report, Madrid are targeting Alexander Isak to increase the impact.

Isak is a 22-year-old player who currently plays at Real Sociedad. He was attracted by a number of big clubs because of his above-average individual qualities.

But Madrid’s efforts to get Isak will not be easily realized. Sociedad fenced him off with a release clause of 90 million euros.
