Real Madrid Was Trapped On A Plane Due to Bad Weather

DBasia.news – The group of Real Madrid players was stuck on the plane for more than two hours at Barajas International Airport, because bad weather prevented their vehicle from taking off.

The incident took place ahead of the Madrid squad’s departure for the city of Pamplona. Los Blancos are scheduled to play an away match against Osasuna in the 2020-2021 LaLiga continued, Sunday (10/1).

The Madrid squad was originally scheduled to fly to Pamplona on Friday (8/1) at 19.00 local time. However, the existence of Hurricane Filomena, which made heavy snow fall, rendered the runway unusable.

Ironically, the Madrid squad was already on the plane and taking off. However, the authorities did not allow the plane carrying Sergio Ramos and his friends to leave.

The plane finally took off at 23.00 local time and arrived in Pamplona an hour later. This condition certainly disturbed the preparation of Zinedine Zidane’s team.

Unfortunately, Osasuna’s duel against Madrid is in danger of being postponed because the storm will return on match day. However, the LaLiga operator has not made a decision on this matter.

No less stressful events were also experienced by the Athletic Bilbao squad. The group from Basque was forced to return to his city even though the plane that was carrying him had arrived in Madrid.

Bilbao are scheduled to visit Atletico Madrid’s headquarters on Saturday (9/1). But the match has almost certainly been postponed.

The plane carrying the Bilbao squad had arrived at the Adolfo Suarez Barajas airport, Madrid. However, the pilot did not get permission to land because of the impossible trajectory.

“The plane carrying Athletic Bilbao squad to Madrid for tomorrow’s match with Atletico Madrid was unable to land at Adolfo Suarez Barajas Airport due to winter conditions, was forced to turn around and return to Bilbao,” read an official Bilbao statement.

“Athletic Bilbao are in contact with LaLiga and Atletico Madrid to make a decision as quickly as possible.”
