Romero was born in Durango, a city in northern Mexico on November 18th, 2004. His father, named Diego Adrian Romero, an Argentine soccer player, had also played in several Mexican teams.
“I was born in Mexico but my family is from Argentina, I have three nationalities (including Spain). If they still want me in Argentina, I will continue to play in Argentina, if that is possible,” he continued.
“Four or five years ago since I went (to Argentina) to celebrate Christmas, I knew about Quilmes (a club in Argentina), but not much. I really wanted to train with the Argentine team, at Quilmes, because my father had played there, “Romero stressed.
