Releases Third Jersey, Puma Steps Out of Comfort Zone

DBasia.news – A breakthrough was made by Puma when it released the third jersey of its partner clubs. The German-style apparel manufacturer issued an unusual design.

Jersey football clubs continue to experience modifications over time. Uniforms that exist today are very different from previous decades.

The difference is usually seen in the materials and technology used. While the designs often imitate the historic jerseys of the past.

But unpopular steps taken. Puma put out a completely different design than before.

Puma boldly removed the club logo on the chest. Instead, they provide the club identity with the inscription according to the name.

Manchester City, AC Milan and Borussia Dortmund are some of Puma’s partners who use this unusual design on their third jersey. The decision certainly gave birth to pros and cons among their supporters.

Even so, Puma has a strong reason to issue the design. They really want to break the tradition that already exists in football.

“It’s easy to play it safe, but we want to change the perception of conventional football jerseys. The third kit provides an opportunity to be bold, so we wanted to re-energize this jersey and take a new direction,” said Puma Teamsport’s senior head design manager, Carl Tuffley.

Player Response

Puma’s new jersey design has received support from a number of players. One of them is the captain of Manchester City, Fernandinho.

“I wanted something different, and we definitely got it. I really like the design because the club logo can change over time, but the name will live on forever,” said Fernandinho.
