Results of the Spanish League Standings: Granada Returns to the Top of the Standings

DBasia.news –  On Sunday (27/10), Granada regained the top of the Spanish league standings and Sociedad came second after both won in the 10th match.

Entertaining Real Betis at the Nuevo Los Carmenes Stadium, Granada won a narrow 1-0 victory thanks to a goal by winger Vadillo in the 61st minute, according to the official Spanish League website.

Two minutes later, Granada almost doubled their lead but Ramon Azeez’s long-range shot just hit the post.

Conversely, Betis was no less aggressive and fired 12 attempted shots but failed to score a single goal, including when Sergio Canales fired from outside the penalty box which was denied by the crossbar in the 86th minute.

The victory brought Granada to the top of the standings with a collection of 20 points, past Barcelona (19) and Real Madrid (18) who must be willing to be skipped because the El Clasico match between the two was postponed until 18 December.

Sociedad poked the third position

In another match that took place earlier, Sociedad took home three full points from the headquarters of Celta Vigo after winning 1-0 at the Balaidos Stadium.

Sociedad’s victory was determined by a new goal that was created in the 82nd minute through Alexander Isak after he received a mature pass from a star loan from Real Madrid, Martin Odegaard.

These three points make Sociedad now poke into third place standings with a total of 19 points, also benefiting from the postponement of El Clasico.

Another game that was held later showed Espanyol won 1-0 at home to Levante thanks to a Bernardo Espinosa goal in the 38th minute.

The result was Espanyol’s first win in six matches but was unable to improve their position stuck in the 19th with a collection of eight points.
