Retiring from Germany National Team, Ozil Criticized by Bayern Munchen’s President

DBasia.news – Bayern Munchen president, Uli Hoeness, criticized Mesut Ozil’s decision to retire from Germany national team. Hoeness assumed Ozil has no place in Der Panzer.

Mesut Ozil announced his retirement from Germany national team on Monday (22/7). Ozil couldn’t stand any longer the critics toward him during his performance with Germany national team.

Critics for Mesut Ozil appeared after Germany national team failed to make it during the 2018 World Cup. As a defending champion, Germany was kicked during the group qualification.

Germany public blamed Mesut Ozil as the source of failure. Ozil considered didn’t have any belonging to Germany national team.

Tired of the critics, Mesut Ozil decided to retire. Not feeling sad, the Germany national team supporters felt happy, including Hoeness, the former player.

“He had been playing s*** for years,” Hoeness told German daily newspaper Bild. “He last won a tackle before the 2014 World Cup,” Hoeness told Bild. “Whenever Bayern played against Arsenal, we played over him because we knew that was their weak point,” he continued.

Moreover, Hoeness also considered Mesut Ozil didn’t belong in the Germany national team. He assumed Ozil obstructed the development of the club.

“The development in our country is a catastrophe. You have to go back to what it is: sport. And from a sporting point of view, Ozil has no place in the national team for years,” Uli Hoeness continued.
