DBasia.news – Robert Lewandowski’s skills have already begun to show in LaLiga. The Polish player managed to score 2 goals when Barcelona played against Valladolid.
Robert Lewandowski was in the spotlight after failing to score in his first game in LaLiga. However, the negative sentiment began to disappear after Lewy appeared sharp in the last two matches.
Most recently, the former Borussia Dortmund player scored twice in Barcelona’s 4-0 win against Valladolid at Camp Nou. The other two goals belonged to Pedri and Sergi Roberto.
Opta Jose noted that now Robert Lewandowski is the first player to score 4 goals in his first three LaLiga games since Radamel Falcao did it for Atletico Madrid in 2011. Lewandowski is the first for Barcelona in the 21st century.
Next up, at 34 years and 7 days, Lewandowski is the oldest player to score at least 3 goals in his first three LaLiga games of the 21st century. He beat the previous record set by his current team-mate Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang last season at the age of 32 years and 247 days.
Not surprisingly, Xavi Hernandez also praised him. Xavi hopes Lewandowski can be a role model for other players.
“He is an extraordinary, spectacular player. He is a natural leader. It is incredible to have him. Lewandowski is an example for others in the way he works for the team,” Xavi explained as reported by Marca.
Robert Lewandowski chose to leave for Barcelona this season after defending Bayern Munich since 2014. Barca needed funds of up to 45 million euros to bring Lewy to Camp Nou.
