Robert Prosinecki: Bosnia wants to compete with Italy

DBasia.news –  Miralem Pjanic, Rade Krunic and Edin Dzeko will all start for Bosnia-Herzegovina against Italy as Bosnian coach, Robert Prosinecki, wants his team to show their fangs.

Bosnia still needs five points in their last two Euro 2020 qualifying matches to reach the final next summer, and Prosinecki insists his team will take the fight against Italy.

“The most important thing is that everyone is healthy and ready for this match,” he told a news conference.

“Italy deserves to be on top of the group. They win every game and I’m sure they have high confidence.

“They have a lot of good young players, they made that change after not qualifying for the World Cup.

“They have built a good national team, so of course it will not be easy tomorrow even though they are already qualified.

“We want to show that we can compete with any national team, especially because we have played well at Zenica, and that is what we hope for tomorrow.

“Of course, as we have said, we are disappointed with how we have fared in the group.

“Our problem is far from home, where we are not as good as at home. There were matches against Finland and Armenia, where we lost.

“There are opportunities in Greece, but we played poorly. The most important thing tomorrow is to play the best we can and as we did in Italy, where we lost but did well. “

The former Barcelona and Real Madrid star then named his starting XI for tomorrow’s match, which includes three familiar faces.

“I can tell you the starting XI, but don’t ask me more than that: Šehić, Kvržić, Kovačević, Bičakčić, Kolašinac, Pjanić, Bešić, Cimirot, Krimic, Krunić, Višća, Džeko.”
