Rodgers Admits Leicester Played Poorly

DBasia.news –  Leicester City manager, Brendan Rodgers, admitted that in the first half his players had performed poorly and was conceded by Teemu Pukki’s goal.

“We were unable to start the game well. But we kept trying hard to do what we used to show and in the second half I think we dominated the game,” Rodgers stated.

In the match that ended 1-1, Leicester seemed to have difficulty to penetrate the Norwich defense. Strike after strike that was launched by Jamie Vardy and colleagues were unable to break down Team Krul’s goal.

Even equalizing goals were not recorded by Leicester players despite having Jamie Vardy involved in the process. In the official English Premier League record, Leicester’s goal was a result of Team Krul’s mistake of anticipation.

“We tried to catch up and we showed a good mentality. We just couldn’t find a touch in the penalty box to win the game.”

“This indeed has disappointed us but we still have to keep fighting back and continuing the journey,” he continued.

This draw has made the distance with league leaders, Liverpool (49) 10 points adrift and provides an opportunity for Manchester City, who sit in third position to catch up to six points behind the Foxes.
