Rodgers Ask Leicester to Not Dissolve in Disappointment

By db-admin

DBasia.news –  Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers has not dragged on in disappointment over the 0-4 defeat of Liverpool in Boxing Day.

The defeat came in a row after in the previous match they also defeated 1-3 on a visit to the headquarters of Manchester City.

“Both matches are important for lessons and certainly we cannot be disappointed for too long, because tomorrow we will travel for an away match a day later,” Rodgers said.

Leicester only has time to rest one day before leaving for West Ham United headquarters to undergo the next match on Saturday (12/28).

According to Rodgers, his team did appear minimal quality when facing Liverpool and many let opponents win the ball, especially in the first round.

“When that happens against a good team, it invites pressure, but we still have a chance when we enter the second half in the 0-1 lag,” he said.

Leicester was under full pressure from Liverpool throughout the first half but was only behind 0-1.

The entry of Marc Albrighton in the 60th minute had slightly changed things but Caglar Soyuncu was charged with deliberately touching the ball with his hand, James Milner scored from the spot, then within seven minutes two other goals from Roberto Firmino and Trent Alexander-Arnold put Leicester against the high mountain to climb.

Despite having just swallowed his first straight defeat this season, Rodgers believes his team can immediately shift focus to immediately achieve positive results when they travel to West Ham.
