DBasia.news – Brendan Rodgers has denied rumors that he has been linked with Manchester United. The Leicester City manager respects his colleague at Manchester United, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Solskjaer’s position as Manchester United manager is reportedly on the brink. This is inseparable from the performance of the Red Devils squad in the Premier League.
Manchester United have only won once, drawn once and lost three times in their last five Premier League games. Cristiano Ronaldo and his team mates are currently stuck in sixth place in the standings with 17 points from 11 matches.
A number of names are predicted to be the new manager of Manchester United if Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is sacked. One candidate is Brendan Rodgers.
Rodgers is considered to have had a great name in the Premier League. The former Liverpool manager successfully led Leicester City to the 2020 FA Cup champions and the 2021 Community Shield title.
Rodgers himself spoke about the issue of him replacing Solskjaer at Manchester United. The 48-year-old coach asked journalists not to discuss it and respect Solskjaer.
Not only that, Rodgers also confirmed his commitment to continue to train Leicester according to the cooperation agreement. His contract at The Foxes expires in 2025.

“First of all, it’s very disrespectful for you [reporters] to ask questions when a manager, a good manager and a good man, is at work at the club,” Rodgers said as quoted by the Mirror.
“And secondly, I can’t comment because it’s something unreal. I’m here as manager of Leicester City; proud to be here, honored to be here and fully committed to the players, the club and the owners.”
“That’s all I can say, really. All the other buzz around it is something we have no control over,” Brendan Rodgers revealed.
