Rodrygo Doesn’t Want to be Compared with Ronaldo at Real Madrid

DBasia.news –  Real Madrid’s young striker, Rodrygo, does not want to be compared to Brazilian club legend Ronaldo.

Rodrygo, 18, scored the second-fastest debut goal for Real Madrid in 93 seconds – Ronaldo’s first in 62 seconds. The ex-Santos player scored in Madrid’s 2-0 win over Osasuna in the continued La Liga match at the Santiago Bernabeu on Thursday (9/26) early morning Western Indonesian Time.

Ronaldo strengthened Madrid from mid-2002-2007. He is one of the icons from Brazil who made history in Madrid and Rodrygo did not want any comparison made with Ronaldo.

“I don’t want any comparison with Ronaldo because he is one of the best players of all time and one of the best (popular) in my country,” Rodrygo said, as reported by the US.

“As for the (record) goals, I can control it well and know that I can do things well. I always show that I can play here,” he continued.

Rodrygo was happy after scoring his debut goal with Madrid. As he praised Zinedine Zidane, Madrid coach, Rodrygo also did not care about his status as a Real Madrid Castilla player or first team.

“Coach knows what he is doing and he has been talking to me every day to tell me to continue to work hard,” added Rodrygo.

“I’m at Real Madrid and I don’t care whether I play for (Real Madrid) Castilla, under Raul, or the first team. Madrid always has great players, so this whole luxury is always expected.”

“I am very happy. Zidane transmitted his calm and a lot of trusts, and I think that’s why things are going well.”

“I can not say anything. I have dreamed of this moment since joining Real Madrid and playing at the Bernabeu with fans, singing my name, I am very happy,” explained Rodrygo.
