Rodrygo wants to bring Brazil to the 2022 World Cup

DBasia.news – Rodrygo was thrilled after being called up again to the Brazilian national team. The Real Madrid winger has expressed his desire to win the 2022 World Cup.

The 21-year-old footballer returns to the Selecao after his last in October 2020. Rodrygo will take part in two 2022 World Cup Qualifying matches against Ecuador (28/1) and Paraguay (2/2).

Rodrygo’s call-up to the Brazilian national team is a reward for the good performances he has shown throughout this season. With Madrid, the former Santos player has played 26 times in all competitions, contributing two goals and six assists.

Brazil themselves has certainly qualified for the 2022 World Cup finals. However, the two international matches ahead will be an audition for Rodrygo to captivate coach Tite so that he can be brought to Qatar.

“It’s very important for me to return to the Brazil squad,” Rodrygo told TNT Brasil. “That was my goal back then. I think these games can decide a lot of things and I hope to be able to play and tune in to the national team.”

“All Brazilians will want to be in Qatar. I will work hard to get there. If I perform well, I have that opportunity.”

Real Madrid are in pole position to win LaLiga 2021/2022 and are still holding on to the Copa del Rey, as well as the Champions League. However, if Rodrygo had to choose, he would want to bring Brazil to the 2022 World Cup.

“If I had to pick a title to win in 2022, I’d say the World Cup,” added Rodrygo.
